the holidays are no longer here and i hope you all have enjoyed yours. i have a very long holiday since i am not going to europeans, still. i am not bitter, of course not! it's okay. we have more time to practice for worlds where we will blow everyone away.

we did get to perform in a show (that other team going to euros did not!) in courchevel. it was a lot of fun. it's always nice to see my teammates again. we have a really close team, us frenchies. brian, alban, yannick, marilyn, isa and olli. all of us, even those i didn't name we are all close. i think it helps in competitions. i think we have a bright future.

the show went really well. and afterwards we all went out for drinks. isa and alexei danced in a corner, close as ever. i noticed alban and brian arguing about something so i went over there and we all did some shots. it was a fun night! i may or may not have danced on a table. that is something a lady never tells, right?

i have a lot of time on my hands now so i got myself an aim name now. it's natoinette. feel free to add it and abuse it. who knows, maybe i will take a vacation. i really want to go to america or something. take care everyone.

since some people may not know what I do, or have seen me skate i thought i would share this.

merde! i am so fucking angry right now! this is going to be short. i cannot believe it. i have gone through so many emotions all because of my federation. i do not understand it! we should be going to euros but they chose to send carron and jost ? we earned that silver medal at nationals and now they are sending the bronze medalists. that makes no sense at all!!

oh well. this is their big mistake. if france wanted three spots/ and or not to loose one of their spots in ice dancing they should have sent us. it is their loss.

it's been a while. i've just been so busy. fab and i trained our asses off for nationals last week. by the end of the day i was lucky enough to drag said ass to bed and get up by the next day. we had a long talk and together we decided that there was no reason why we should not be second at nationals and would try our best not to let our nerves get to us.

i am happy to report that we did get a silver medal at the french national championships this weekend! so now we will be going to euros and worlds. i am looking forward to seeing everyone again. i think it's going to be a lot of fun, besides everyone knows that the competition while important isn't as important as meeting new people, having fun and partying. okay, i am joking, ...sort of...

there was a man that i wanted to talk to at nationals. i see him so often that whenever we are apart it feels like years. i am exaggerating but i do enjoy spending time with him. i didn't get to see him as much as i would like to this weekend. i do hope i can see him soon though. now i should get going practice tomorrow!

well teb is over and i am glad it is over.

well fabian and i skated pretty well during the cd and od. we were tied for fourth place. and then the fd, i believe we have a strong fd. we felt good after winning our first medal at skate america. it is hard to feel good when your partner trips and then when you see them fall.

i hate those getty things on the photos.

i hid behind my teddy bear. i went to bed early last night but i believe i could use someone to talk to tonight or a lot of wine. then i will return to lyon and train once again. the number 3 french team (we are number 2) passed us in the fd so we have a lot to do before nationals. maybe i need a vacation.

i tried to get a screenname but nathalie antoinette is too long. elena made me some new icons. i am slowly getting the hang of this, i think.

i've seen most some people do not use the shift key around here, so i decided i won't either. i hope this is still readable. it should be, my english is not so bad. let's just say after today i am a little lazy. i still wanted to write an introduction of sorts since i realize many of you might not even know who i am.

i spend many days getting up at the crack of dawn, getting in some practice before heading off to work. my days are filled with "can i help you?" at a local boutique. some speak french, others are tourists so you begin to practice english since it's a lot better than their broken french. skating is my life though, this and school is just for later in life. i began skating when i was seven years old. i was a singles skater but i got sick of falling fast. ice dancing was my calling.

i skate with fabian bourzat, he's pretty good looking and often compared to gwendal peizerat who most of you know was an olympic champion. i dated gwendal for a good while but we realized it would not work and are now apart. he's a great guy and yes, i am very much single. fabian and i had a pretty disappointing season last year, i fell at the olympics and then who can forget my headband covering my eyes in the free? this year has been better and we want to continue on improving ourselves. our free is to the four seasons. i saw a performance by a hip hop group and asked the choreography to help us. it is not your normal four seasons, and yes cotton balls are fantastic.

i'm not perfect. the olympics were not the only mistake i've ever made in my life. i've got a little space between my front teeth but i think it is beautiful. it makes me unique. i've been a blonde and now a brunette. i've been involved with che, a cat, and a french revolutionary. i search for new adventures every day. one that will make sure that i will not be saying "may i help you?" for the rest of my life. i hope to see many of you in paris this weekend to partyyy! (yes, brian, isabelle, everyone else i do mean you!) but now i am very sleepy, practice an cd and an od are just too much in one day.

Bonjour! My name is Nathalie Pechalat. You may or may not know me. I am an ice dancer from France and I skate with my partner Fabian Bourzat. I am 22 years old and skate in Lyon. Since Isabelle and Marie-France already have these journals they talked me into getting one. I have added all of the figure skaters I could find.
